Product Description
This purchase/service includes 1 new OEM 5 button remote and a high security key cut to your 2011-2015 Chevrolet Cruze key code. This remote includes a high security key that flips out at the press of a button to manually operate the locks on your car. The key can be pressed back into the remote hiding it from view. This type of remote/key are commonly called "remote flip key." This is the same original equipment remote flip key sold at Chevrolet dealerships. The remote functions are: door lock, door unlock, tailgate unlock, remote start and lights/panic button.
This is not a proximity remote flip key or the remote used for passive entry. If your vehicle has a push button start, then this remote flip key won't work.
The key is guaranteed to be cut to the key code you provide and will operate the locks on your GM vehicle. You can email the key code after purchasing this item by sending an email to: keybitslock@gmail.com, or include the key code with your Paypal payment during the checkout process if you choose to pay through Paypal.
How to find your key code:
- The key code was on the key or on a key tag included with the keys when the vehicle was new.
- The Chevrolet models that use this remote flip key use the following key code series: Z0001 - Z6314
- Call your local Chevrolet dealership and they can find your key code using your vehicles VIN
The remote flip key also includes a transponder that communicates with your cars computer. You must configure your vehicle to recognize the new remote and transponder. Sometimes this can be done On Board Programming, and other times it requires a tool to talk to your cars computer. Contact us for more information.
ADDING KEYS (North America, except Canada):
NOTE:
• To initiate, this procedure requires that a learned master key be available.
• A total of 10 keys may be programmed to a single vehicle.
• This procedure adds keys only. The procedure does not erase previously learned keys.
• The keys to be learned must duplicate the mechanical cut of the current key.
• If more than one valet key is to be learned, immediately precede each valet key with a learned
master key.
1. With a previously learned master key, turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
2. Turn OFF the ignition and remove the key.
3. Within 10 seconds of turning OFF the ignition, insert the key to be learned and turn ON the
ignition. The vehicle has now learned the new key.
